The Holland/Zeeland Community Labor Day Truck Parade rolls through Downtown Holland on Monday, September 3 at 9:15 am. Celebrate the area’s local workforce with big rigs, free ice cream and lots of fun!  Please note that due to the Civic Center Construction, the parade route and end of parade festivities are different this year.

Art on the Island has returned for a second year! Guests are the first to see the beautiful artwork and find out the winners of the contest - and can even purchase art to bring home! Visitors can also enjoy music, appetizers and a cash bar. Gala is September 6th, 6 - 8pm.

September Light Bulb Givaway!
Come by Holland BPW’s Service Center lobby on September 7th, 14th, or 21st between 11 am and 5 pm, to get your FREE energy efficient LED lightbulb(s). You may choose between two 60 watt equivalent lamp bulbs, or one indoor/outdoor flood lamp. Whether you’re on your lunch break, need to pay your bill, or just driving by, be sure to drop in and grab a bulb or two! HBPW customers only.

Youth Volleyball
This fall Holland Recreation will be offering volleyball clinics for 3rd & 4th grade and volleyball leagues for 5th & 6th grade. This is a great opportunity for children to become familiar with volleyball and  develop basic skills. Program runs from October 22-December 8.

Girls Basketball League
Register your child for the 7th and 8th grade girls Lakeshore Basketball League before September 24 and save a little money! Holland teams will compete against other lakeshore communities on Saturdays with practices during the week. League runs October 22-December 15.

Inspired by the Elfstedentoct, or the Eleven-City Skating Tour in The Netherlands, this fall bike tour will take you through historic sites in the Holland/Zeeland Area. There are four different routes (16, 24, 43 & 63 mile). All start and end at Windmill Island Gardens and include a pancake breakfast at Graafschap Church. Helmet required. September 15th, 7am - 3pm.
